Dysport requires 3 times as much units as Botox to get the same effect. However, this does not mean it isn’t as good, it’s simply how the dosing works. For example, to treat a typical frown area, it takes 20 units of Botox or 60 units of Dysport. The cost is roughly $240 for either brands and the fluid volume that is needed for either is exactly the same.
The cost for Dysport is $4/unit. Typical costs for crows feet is $240-$300, frown is $120-$300, and forehead is $120-$300. The actual cost of will vary depending on your needs.
Don’t exercise, go in sauna or jacuzzi, or do anything that will increase circulation for 24 hours after treatment. Wash your face gently with soap and water, but don’t scrub or exfoliate too hard. Avoid facials for 1 week after the procedure. Do not apply makeup for 8 hours after the procedure.
Avoid taking aspirin, ibuprofen, or fish oil for 2 weeks prior to treatment. Don’t discontinue any medications without your prescribing physician’s approval. Taking arnica pills orally for a week before and after your treatment can help minimize bruising.
It typically will last about 3-4 months, depending on the individual. Factors that influence how long it lasts include the amount of Dysport that is used, history of Dysport usage, and lifestyle factors.
