She then completed a Ph.D. in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology from the University of British Columbia, followed by a 2-year post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Calgary studying gut health and the microbiome.

Her approach to aesthetics is “start low and go slow.” She loves to educate her patients about the science behind beautiful skin, rejuvenation, and anti-aging. Understanding each patient’s individual responses to products and procedures is her goal.
You’ll find Dr. DePorto writing, cooking, hiking, mountain biking, learning to play classical guitar, or caring for her rescue pets with her wonderful husband when she’s not working.
